Recipe of the Week – Beef & Noodles

So easy and so good

Beef and noodles is a favorite in our house. It’s easy, and with busy schedules it takes maybe 30 minutes to make. I like to use a big dutch oven for this because you can make it all in one pot. If you don’t have a big dutch oven you can cook the ground beef in a frying pan then add everything together in a big pot. This recipe feeds our family of 4 plus leftovers. If you want a smaller batch, cut the ingredients in half.

Tips & Tricks; Do not drain the grease after you cook the ground beef. After the ground beef is cooked sprinkle the flour over the ground beef and mix till you can hardly see the flour. The flour should evenly coat the beef. Then add the milk and continue to stir until it thickens. Turn the heat down then add the ranch seasoning, salt, cream cheese, and sour cream and still until it melts.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1/3 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 2 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 stick cream cheese
  • 1 bag of egg noodles

Directions

  • Cook noodles and set aside
  • Cook ground beef
  • Make sauce (see Tips & Tricks)
  • Once the sauce is made, mix the noodles in and you have Beef and Noodles!

Hope you enjoy!
